Sampah

Sampah adalah material sisa suatu aktivitas yang tidak diinginkan setelah berakhirnya suatu proses. Sampah didefinisikan menurut derajat keterpakaian dan kegunaannya. Makin majunya ilmu pengetahuan akan makin banyak material ditemukan kemanfaatannya bagi manusia, dan dengan itu akan makin sedikit material sisa yang dikatagorikan sampah. Sampah organik bisa digunakan pada pembuatan pupuk organik, berguna bagi pemberian zat hara tanaman. Sementara sampah anorganik dapat didaur ulang menjadi barang bernilai ekonomi baru seperti minyak bakar dan energi panas.
